It does not matter if you join our Sunday morning service, our Thursday evening Bible study, or any special event you might see on our calendar, the first thing that you can expect from Salem Missionary Baptist Church is a big, warm welcome. We are a small, family friendly Baptist church but we are mighty in spirit. Located in South Los Angeles just east of Crenshaw Blvd. Salem Missionary Baptist Church is conveniently near wherever you are in Southern California.

Our church is led by our Senior Pastor, Rev. J. Rannie Williams who has been our Senior Pastor for over 15 years. For 88 years, since our founding by Pastor Charles H. Davis Sr. In 1931, our guiding principles have been to teach and preach the gospel. Salem Missionary Baptist Church has always strived to be a saving station for lost souls in the Los Angeles area.

We offer a variety of ministries for children such as a children’s choir, Sunday school and Vacation Bible School every summer. Visitors are welcome and we look forward to you attending our church and worshiping with us.

We want church to be a place where your entire family is encouraged to draw closer to Christ. Visiting somewhere new can be intimidating.
